Ohhhh HI :)

My name is Chase 👋

I’ve always felt music to be a medicine that is expressed in many different forms. It is strumming two chords on the guitar and simply humming along. It is listening to the tender lyrics of a folk artist alone in your room that speaks deep to the universal pain we all know and carry. It is the power of the live show, seeing Dave Matthews Band jamming to create a once and a lifetime experience that makes an entire stadium come alive. It is a song that you and your friends blast out the windows on the way to the beach. It’s an Ikaro sung by a shaman in the jungles of Peru. It is an anthem that fuels the people in the streets. It is the peace of a hymn sung beneath your breath in church.

Whether my days are filled with sunshine and blues skies or the darkest nights that make me doubt everything, there in the middle, between the light and dark, is the music. There in the middle, lies the Gray. A gift from the almighty, a sanctuary.

These songs I write are the things that I need to hear. It’s often when I’m in the dark, a song comes to pull me back into the light. And it’s when I’m feeling the beauty of life, the songs come to help me remember the feeling when I inevitably drift back to sleep. These songs have helped me and I share my music with others because I trust that there is someone out there who may need a friend in their corner. Who may need a song to lift their spirits. Who may need a song to be excited about this blessing of life. Who may need a reminder of how loved they are or that things are all going to be okay.

This is how the music, the medicine, takes shape within me. It’s my prayer that what I share can bring a little light to your life.

Thanks for reading

Love,

Chase
